Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday and millions of TV’s will be tuned to the big game. There are lots of us like myself who are really not at all interested in football and really don’t care who wins. Now I appreciate that this is an American tradition but for some reason I have never had an interest in sports. So what are your alternatives? You can catch a movie, go to a fine restaurant or take a little drive. You can be assured that being that everyone is glued to their TV’s  you can do anything you’d like. When I lived in New Jersey and traveled to Delaware on weekends, the roads were especially clear on Superbowl Sunday. They were even more clear then on holidays like Christmas or Thanksgiving. Our four hour trip took 3 1/2 on Superbowl Sunday!

Now you may be interested in watching the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. (This is more my speed!) Good Housekeeping Entertainment news has provided these details.

Bust out your green and yellow for a nail-biting game of football — or should we say, paw ball. Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XIV airs on Super Bowl Sunday, February 4, at 3 p.m. ET, just before the real game gets going. The two teams competing for the coveted Chewy.com “Lombarky” Puppy Bowl trophy are Team Fluff and Team Ruff. Spoiler: Both teams are equally cute.

This year’s Puppy Bowl will be played in a brand new bone-shaped stadium. That means the stadium is fit for — you guessed it — wiggly, slobbery puppies.

All 90 players in the game are up for adoption, which means that if one of these squishy faces catches your eye, he or she could actually be yours. Animal Planet worked with 48 shelters from 25 different states to rally two teams of adorable — and competitive — pups. This game is giving the dogs some overdue love after many were rescued from areas devastated by recent natural disasters in Houston, Puerto Rico, and Florida.

And that’s not all. Animal Planet will also be airing the first-ever Dog Bowl on Saturday, February 3 at 8 p.m. ET. The more dogs, the merrier. This also means you can pregame for the Super Bowl as early as the night before.

Remember, your pets count!
