Many Veterinary professionals believe that a high quality diet can transform an ordinary coat on a dog or cat into soft, luxurious coat. If you notice changes in your pets coat, you might want to consider what he’s eating. Essential nutrients that directly influence skin and coat condition include protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. High quality pets food will generally contain the proper balance of animal  and plant fat plus the vitamins and minerals needed to keep your pets coat silky and shiny. However, protein deficiency and cause dry, flaky skin and a dull looking coat. If you’re concerned about your pet, talk to your veterinarian about his diet.
