Pets can help children relate to other people in their lives. A child can also learn about the costs involved in owning a pet.

There are many reasons why pets are not only good for adults but are good for the children as well. So when your son or daughter, is inquiring about a pet or visits a local pet store wishing that they could own one of those cute little puppies or kittens in the cages, why not take them down to the local shelter and consider adopting a pet?
