A Welcome Change with Our Cat Millie

Our cat Millie has been with us for 17 years now. She is a sweet little cat but was always over shadowed by our cat Molly. Molly was older and was with us longer until she passed away in 2018. Both Molly and Millie are females and we learned later  that if you have a female cat and adopt another female at a later time, they will probably not get along. This was the case with Molly and Millie. Molly was the dominant cat and really intimidated Millie. Millie usually stayed by herself and tried to stay out of Molly’s way. We later adopted a male cat  Atlantis from our neighbor who passed away last year. Millie still felt intimidated and usually stayed by herself.

Now that Millie’s our only cat, she has become more affectionate, loves to be in the same room as us and most amazing is that she now sits next to me all the time and loves to be pet. We are so glad that in her later years, we could finally show her the love and affection that she deserved all along.

All cats have different personalities but it is possible for a cat’s personality to change depending on the situation.

Remember, pets are family!
