A Scare with Our Cat Millie

A few weeks ago, I noticed that the right side of my cat Millies’s face was a bit swollen. I thought I may have been imagining it until my partner pointed out that he noticed it too. I became more concerned when the swelling got worse over the next few days. We are in the process of switching vets and made an appointment with a new vet in Georgetown, Delaware. The problem is that they  had no opening until January.  When the swelling got worse, the vet was able to squeeze us in on Thursday, November 18th. We booked that time but were still worried about Millie. She seemed a bit listless for a few days and there was nothing we could do.

After a few days the swelling began to subside. Now it’s just about gone and Millie is back to her old self. What caused this? It could have been an abcess  but we’re not sure. We are keeping our appointment with our new vet in Georgetown, Delaware on Thursday.  We’re glad that Millie bounced back on her own.

Always look for any changes in your pet and never take anything for granted.
