We are all aware there are dogs out there that help people with special needs, but have you ever thought about the dogs who have special needs themselves? Unfortunately, there are thousands of dogs and puppies in shelters and some of these lovable¬† canines may have some kind of issue, which means they are handicapped. They may be blind, have a hearing problem or lost a limb but never the less these dogs are just as deserving of loving home as the other’s. They problem is that have a more difficult time finding one.¬† A handicapped dog can make a wonderful, loving pet that could change your life. If you’re looking to adopt a dog, don’t rule out one who is handicapped. They deserve to live just as the other do.

If you are dedicated and have the time to adopt a dog with special needs, you should. It is a rewarding experience and the bond between you and your disabled friend will be something truly unique. Adopting a dog may not change the world, but it changes their world forever.

Thank you to for providing some of this information.
