What You Need to Know About Feline Kidney Disease

Tuesday, July 21, 2020

An important thing that cat owners should know is that way too many cats are affected by it. Actually 1 in 3 cats will develop kidney disease sometime in their life. There are many reasons why cats get kidney disease but the most disturbing thing is that it’s very difficult to recognize.  Most cats don’t show any signs of kidney disease until it’s advanced. One sign can be subtle weight loss that most owners will not even recognize. More signs include peeing more and drinking more water. This was actually the first thing I noticed with my cat Mollie. She began drinking more and I later noticed that she was peeing more.  The urine seemed to not appear as clumps in the litter box but rather spread in large areas soaking the  box.

If you notice the signs, get your cat checked out. Fortunately even at advanced stages, if treated properly, your cat can have years of quality life left. There are also natural products to add to the treatment regimen including hi potency omega oils. I highly recommend Astro’s Oil. I’ve been using it for years and have had very positive results. I’m now giving it to my cat Atlantis and the results once again are very positive!
