Does Your Cat Eat Too Fast? How Can You Tell?
I woke up this morning to a regurgitating sound. I found my cat Atlantis lying next to some uneaten dry food. Atlantis tends to vomit frequently and being that he’s a new member of our family, we will be taking him to the vet for a check up. Many feline diseases could be controlled. Since we don’t know his medical history, we feel it necessary and only fair get him checked out.
Today’s episode seems to be due to Atlantis eating too fast. How can you tell if it’s as simple as fast eating? Well first of all, there was really no liquid regurgitated at all and the pieces of food he threw up were totally in tact. Some cats tend to eat too fast resulting in regurgitated food. Don’t get too complacent, there are many intestinal illnesses that can affect your feline friend some are not serious but some could be very serious such as kidney disease or even cancer. It’s always best to be on the safe side, get to the vet and have your wonderful pet checked out!
