It’s been a week since we lost our beloved cat Molly. We will be heartbroken for a long time to come. The house feels empty and I’m always expecting her to jump of on my lap or wait by the bathroom door for a brushing. When we lose a pet, we go into a grieving process just as we do when a human passes.

The doctors at Savannah Animal Hospital in Lewes, Delaware were very kind and caring during this very difficult process. They assured me that taking Molly out of her pain was the best thing that I could have done for her. Never the less, it’s a very difficult decision and one of the worst things I ever had to do in my life.

A few days ago, we received a beautiful plant and card with a very special message inside. This was a very kind gesture and comforting to know that some people realize that our pets are not just animals but rather intricate members of our family. They have a soul and provide unconditional love better that any human can.
