As you know from previous posts, my 17 1/2 year old cat has kidney disease and hyperthyroidism. I’ve been giving her her thyroid pill wrapped in a pill pocket. She’s been taking it with ease….until yesterday. At this point, Molly will not take her pill at all and I’m very frustrated. She’s drinking and eating normally but I am going to have to force the pill down by manually opening her mouth which I did not want to do because it is very difficult and will cause her stress. Cats are very finicky and unpredictable. I am in the process of figuring out a solution to this current dilemma and will keep you posted. A cat can suddenly change their behavior. So if you just adopted a cat, expect the unexpected!
