Most cat love the flavor of fish in their cat food and cat treats but cats should be fed a minimal amount of fish. According to Pet MD, an exclusive fish diet has the potential to do harm to your cat. Pet MD says; “Cats that are fed large amounts of tuna, particularly red tuna, tend to be more prone to steatites” This is especially true given that lots cat food contains a low quality protein.  If your cat enjoys fish, try eliminating fish flavored cat food and give him a small treat of human-quality albacore tuna occasionally.
