Sunday, May 29, 2016
posted by Jim Murphy

BETAAQUABeta’s are often seen in small bowls in pet stores. Many people think that they can buy these beautiful fish and keep them in a bowl. This is not true. There are several reasons why you should set up an aquarium for your beta. The water needs filtration. You cannot conduct adequate filtration in a fish bowl. Toxins and waste need to be removed from the water in order to keep your beta healthy. A filter set up properly in an aquarium with do this job adequately. Beta’s are tropical fish and require water temperatures between 79 and 82 degrees. A heater placed in an aquarium with keep a stable water temperature . A healthy, well maintained aquarium is the best habitat for Beta’s.
