parrotIf you are thinking of getting a parrot as a pet, you should not only be concerned about buying the perfect bird cage or bird stand, you should be aware of the lifespan of parrots. I hate to say it but some live longer than humans. You must also designate someone to leave your parrot to in the event that he out lives you. Here’s a list of the average lifespan of parrots.

Macaws

Macaws are by far one of the longest living parrots. They have a lifespan of about 80 – 90 years. Some have even lived up to 100 years. Macaws are found in South America, Mexico, and Caribbean.
