First Responders Are Equipped For Pets

DOG OXYGENPets also suffer  and die in house fires but it’s comforting to know that a non-profit group in Bergen County, New Jersey is equipped with special animal oxygen masks to aid pets in the event of a fire and smoke inhalation. More than 40,000 pets are killed in house fires every year.  Most die from smoke inhalation. Unfortunately most fire departments are not allowed to spend tax dollars on equipment that’s not intended to save human lives.

The mask for pets comes in three sizes to fit over the noses of animals and provide a flow of oxygen. The masks also come with tubing and an instructional video. It’s good to know that someone is looking out for our best friends.

Remember, your pets count!

Six great radio stations play all the tie on THE EDGEWATER INTERNET RADIO NETWORK.
