If you own an English Bulldog, you know that he is your best friend and you’ll also know that he wants to spend every waking moment with you. They always want to be around the ones that they love.

Ignoring an English Bulldog is a big no no in their book. They won’t easily forgive you for not paying attention to them. You can offer them a dog treat, or take them for an extra long walk on their dog leash but that won’t make up for your lack of attention. English Bulldogs can be stubborn and hard to train. Most trainers would agree that they are not pets for first time dog owners who have little experience handling the pig headed pups.

English Bulldogs can be prone to a variety go health problems including bad eyesight, mast cell tumors, heat strokes, allergies, and hip problems, which means you may end up spending a lot of time and money at the vet’s office.

I’m not saying that English Bulldogs make bad pets, just be aware of some of the issues that are common for this particular breed. Give them lots of love, attention and dog forget the dog treats!
