The heat of the summer is just around the corner. Some dogs are on special diets which limits the kinds of dog treats that they can have. Even dogs on special diets can have fun summertime treats. If your dog is on canned dog food, simply spoon the food into an ice cube tray and freeze. You can even add a healthy “stick”  shaped treat to the center, that’s if the dogs diet will allow that. When frozen, just pop them out for your dog to enjoy. If your dog is older, he may appreciate a treat that is only partially frozen. Don’t forget, some frozen dog treats can pose a choking hazard so be sure to supervise your dog while he is enjoying his delicious dog treat.
