What Size Dog Crate Should You Buy?

dogandcrateYou’ve just adopted a dog and are about to buy his dog crate. There are so many sizes and it could be difficult to determine which size would be best for your new friend.

Here are some general rules to follow which may help.

DOG CRATES 18 -22 inches

18″ – 22″ (45 – 56cm) dog crate sizes are recommended for g breeds weighing up to 25 lbs (11 kg). You might also consider the 24″ dog crate size for these breeds.

DOG CRATE 24 inches

24″ (61cm) dog crate sizes are recommended for t breeds weighing up to 25 lbs.

DOG CRATE 30 inches

30″ (76cm) dog crate sizes are recommended for  breeds weighing between 26 – 40 lbs (12 – 18 kg).

DOG CRATE 36 Inches

36″ (91cm) dog crate sizes are recommended for  breeds weighing between 41 – 70 lbs (18 – 32 kg).

DOG CRATE 42 Inches

42″ (107cm) dog crate sizes are recommended for  breeds weighing between 71 – 90 lbs (32 – 41 kg).

DOG CRATE 48 Inches

48″ (122cm) dog crate sizes are recommended for  breeds weighing between 91 – 110 lbs (41 – 50 kg).

DOG CRATE 54 Inches

54″ (137cm) dog crate sizes are recommended for breeds weighing over 110 lbs (50+ kg).
