Vacation time is swiftly approaching and one of the hurtles we pet lovers have to get over is what to do with our pets while we’re gone. I’ve solved my problem, I purchased a home on the Delaware Coast and always take my two cats, Molly and Millie along with me. If you’re like me, you don’t want to worry about your pet while you’re away. After all, this can ruin a wonderful vacation! Some owners choose to have their pets along on a luxurious vacation.  A record 65% of  Americans own a pet.  More than 15 million Americans traveled with their pets, and 8.5 million stayed more than three times in a pet-friendly hotel, according to Pet Friendly, Inc.  Many hotels are now catering to our pets needs in a big way. Dog friendly perks provide dogs and their owners with great extras like yoga classes, clean up bags, dog sitters and even a treat on their pillow at night. So if you have the money, consider taking your pet along with you this summer. At least you’ll sleep well and enjoy yourself rather than make crazy phone calls checking that your pet is doing well.
