Puppy Vet Visits

Monday, April 10, 2017
posted by Jim Murphy

puppys-firstvet-visitIf you adopt a pet and he is up to date on his shots and has been spayed or neutered, you still want to take him for his first visit to the vet within a few days. This enables the veterinarian to give him a checkup, set up a schedule for his future vaccinations and begin a record of his care. Your vet may want to run some blood tests and do a fecal exam.

After the first visit, you will have a schedule forĀ future vaccinations and boosters. Make sure that you adhere to this schedule because vaccinations are important, especially when your puppy is young. If your puppy has not been spayed or neutered by the time he reaches 6 months, you really need to get this done. This involves surgery and an overnight stay at the vets office and usually a follow up visit.

Young dogs should visit the vet at least once a year, older dogs, twice a year. Make sure that you keep up with your vet visits to keep ahead of any potential problems.

Remember, your pets count!

What is your favorite kind of music? If it’s oldies and you’re at work now, here are some great oldies stations that will may your workday fly by!

Edgewater Gold Radio – great oldies variety from the 50’s 60’s 70’s 80’s and standards.

Rehoboth Radio – if you love mostly 50’s and 60’s.

The Beach Station – More great oldies to choose from. 50’s 60’s 70’s and beach music.

Listen to all three oldies stations and enjoy the variety on The Edgewater Internet Radio Network.
